Jersey Community Hospital (occasionally known as JCH) is a full-service hospital located in Jerseyville, Illinois. The hospital was founded in 1954 and is owned by the citizens of Jersey County. The hospital moved from its original location to a larger 20-acre (8.1 ha) campus in 1977 and continues to operate from that location today.
The land for the hospital was provided at a nominal rent by Earl Fitzwilliam. [3] It was opened by Countess Fitzwilliam as Malton Cottage Hospital in 1905. [4] It joined the National Health Service in 1948 and, after becoming the Malton, Norton & District Hospital, it was the subject of a major reconfiguration in 2010. [5]
