Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) is a school district in California, headquartered in Chula Vista, in the South Bay area of San Diego County.. The 103-square-mile (270 km 2) district, the largest Kindergarten through Grade 6 elementary school district in the State of California, is located between the City of San Diego and the United States-Mexico border.
Hilltop was named a California Distinguished School in 2005 and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). In the 2006–07 school year, the graduation rate was 93.3%. Hilltop has the highest number of AP courses available to all students and the highest AP pass rate out of the entire SUHSD at 72.8%.
