Jharkhand (/ ˈ dʒ ɑːr k ə n d /; Hindi: [d͡ʒʱɑːɾkʰəɳɖ]; lit. ' the land of forests ') is a state in eastern India. The state shares its border with the states of West Bengal to the east, Chhattisgarh to the west, Uttar Pradesh to the northwest, Bihar to the north and Odisha to the south.
Netarhat Residential School was established on 15 November 1954, after the independence of India for the people of state of Bihar. It was a dream of the first chief minister of Bihar, Shri Krishna Singh and his deputy chief minister and finance minister Anugrah Narayan Sinha to establish a centre of excellence. [1]
At the time of formation, Jharkhand state had 18 districts. Later, six more districts were carved out by reorganizing these districts.
