Check your account email client One of the top reasons a user can't find their emails is due to settings from a third-party email client such as Outlook or the Mail app on your phone. Chances are the settings in the program are set to delete the emails from the AOL server each time you check your mail.
From most AOL mobile apps: Tap the Menu icon. Tap Manage Accounts. Tap Account info. Tap Security settings. Enter your security code. Tap Change password. Enter a new password. If these steps don't work in your app, change your password using your mobile browser.

Spoofing happens when someone sends emails making it look like it they were sent from your account. In reality, the emails are sent through a spoofer's non-AOL server.
