INS Rana is a Rajput -class destroyer in active service with the Indian Navy. She was commissioned on 28 June 1982. [2] She was the only ship of her class which was not upgraded like the other two ships, which had been upgraded with Israeli Barak 1 missiles and EL/M-2238 STAR Radars.
INS Trishul (F43) (Translated as Trident) is the second frigate of the Talwar class of the Indian Navy. Trishul, the guided missile frigate, joined the arsenal of Indian Navy in 2003. The ship was commissioned by the then Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command Vice Admiral Arun Prakash at St. Petersburg, Russia on 25 June 2003.
INS Dwarka has historical significance as it is the only Indian Navy establishment to have ever seen direct action with the adversary. Its origin can be traced back to the 1965 hostilities with Pakistan. On 7 Sep 1965, a flotilla of the Pakistan Navy, carried out bombardment on Dwarka town with the objective of disabling the radar station there.

Kiran Shekhawat. Kiran Shekhawat (1 May 1988 – 24 March 2015) was the first Indian Navy woman officer to be killed in the line of duty. On a flight as an observer with the Indian Navy, the woman Naval officer was martyred in a Dornier crash off the Goa coast on 24 March 2015. Lt. Shekhawat was the wife of another Naval officer, Vivek Chhoker.
