The William S. Hart Union High School District (commonly referred to simply as the Hart District) is a school district in the Santa Clarita Valley of Los Angeles County, California. The school was established in 2009 on the former Washington Middle School campus (now Vista Innovation and Design Academy), but was officialized at its new dedicated campus in early 2011. [1] [2] Mission Vista High School operates on a “4x4” block schedule, in which students are enrolled in eight classes per school year.
Vista High School Campus used to be an elementary school (Will Rogers Elementary now located in Duncan Ave.) and was site to Lynwood Adult School until 2000. The Tzu Chi Foundation awarded 15 Students two Scholarships to any school of their choices in 2008, making it the best nomination over the last five years.
During the 2022–2023 school year, the school served over 3,800 students. The campus sits on 68 acres (280,000 m 2 ) [ 3 ] overlooking most of the City of Murrieta to the south. VMHS is a four-year comprehensive high school accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (as of 2006).
