Wake Tech established an athletics program in 2008. Tech Athletics includes nine teams: men's baseball; women's softball and volleyball; men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf, and men's and women's soccer. Wake Tech's mascot is an eagle named Talon and sponsors a co-ed cheerleading and mascot team.
