Location of Ghana. Ghana is a unitary presidential constitutional democracy, located along the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean, in the subregion of West Africa.A multicultural nation, Ghana has a population of approximately 27 million, spanning a variety of ethnic, linguistic and religious groups.
The Ghana Club 100 is a yearly official list of the top 100 companies in Ghana. The compilation was first done in 1998 by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) with the aim of recognition of the top 100 companies and to encourage competition and improvement of company products and services in the country. [1]
In 1986, the government established the Ghana Investment Center to assist in creating new enterprises. Between 1986 and 1990, the vast majority of projects approved—444 of 621—were in the manufacturing sector. Projected investment for the approved ventures was estimated at US$138 million in 1989 and at US$136 million in 1990.
Aluworks. Aluworks is a manufacturing company based in Tema, Greater Accra. It was founded on February 24, 1978, and was converted to a public limited liability company on May 28, 1996. [3] After an Initial Public Offer in October 1996, it was listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange on November 29, 1996, at the share price of GH¢ 0.135. [4]

The Ghana Stock Exchange ( GSE) is the principal stock exchange of Ghana. The exchange was incorporated in July 1989 with trading commencing in 1990. It currently lists 42 equities (from 37 companies) and 2 corporate bonds. [1] All types of securities can be listed.
