Kanhachatti is located at a short distance from the block headquarter - Kandynagar. The Kharwar king was in the Kandynagar pargana. The famous ruler of Kharwars, the descendants of Raja Pratap Dhaval Dev of Rohtas Gadh, were the kings of Kandy Pargana. They were also relatives of Ramgarh Raj.
