The nurse put in a catheter for relief. I've had it in for four days now, and finally had my urologist take it out. Even while taking this drug for a UTI, it didn't relieve the pain like promised; instead, it sent me scrambling for relief. So just be aware that this is one known side effect listed but seemingly hushed up by the Azo company.
