Marion High School's current campus opened in 1964 on 26th Street. The school was split into two campuses, North & South. The North campus held ninth graders, while the South campus held tenth through twelfth graders. But, the North campus was closed for the 1966–1967. Plans began early for the next parts of Marion High School's South Campus.

Duarte High School opened in 1958. Prior to that time Duarte high school students attended Monrovia High School. (The Wildcats.) Duarte High School is a part of the Montview league. In 2010 Duarte implemented academies, allowing students to take classes that are aimed to focus on their interests.
The 1954 Milan High School Indians won the Indiana High School Boys Basketball Tournament championship in 1954.. With an enrollment of only 161, Milan was the smallest school ever to win a single-class state basketball title in Indiana, beating the team from the much larger Muncie Central High School in a classic competition known as the Milan Miracle.
