FASNT. Conestogo (pronounced [ˌkʰɒ̽.nə.ˈs͡t̠ˠəʊ̯.ɡə]) is a community in the Canadian province of Ontario, located in the township of Woolwich in Waterloo Region. The population in 2016 was 1,270. [1] The community is located at the junction of the Grand and Conestogo Rivers. Conestogo is a terminus of the Avon Trail.
More than 150 years later, the college was established in 1975 to award the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree, and its first class was made up of 21 graduates. The college has since expanded, and as of the 2023-2024 academic year, there were 1001 students enrolled.
In 1933, the Connecticut General Assembly created the Teachers College of Connecticut and the first bachelor's degrees were granted. In 1922, the campus moved to its current location on Stanley Street. In Fall 2023, the university unveiled its new logo. The school was again renamed in 1959, becoming the Central Connecticut State College.
