Karam (colloquially Karma) is a harvest festival celebrated in Indian states of Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Odisha and Bangladesh. It is dedicated to the worship of Karam-Devta (Karam-Lord/God), the god of power, youth and youthfulness. It celebrated for good harvest and health.

The Naulakha temple is situated in Deoghar, the headquarters of the Deoghar district in Jharkhand, India. Deoghar is a renowned pilgrimage site for Hindus, as it is home to one of the twelve jyotirlingas of Hinduism, the Baidyanath temple. The Naulakha temple sits at a distance of 1.5 km (0.6 mi) from the Baidyanath temple.
