The county is included in the ARC 's definition of Appalachia. As of the 24th decennial 2020 census, its population was 22,293. [1] The county seat is Centreville. [2]
The current Bibb County Junior High School, which has an original section and two additions, is a two-story brick building. It formerly served as the high school and is red in color. [3] The building, the first consolidated comprehensive high school in Bibb County, [4] was constructed in 1909. [2]
