The school was established in 2009 on the former Washington Middle School campus (now Vista Innovation and Design Academy), but was officialized at its new dedicated campus in early 2011. [1] [2] Mission Vista High School operates on a “4x4” block schedule, in which students are enrolled in eight classes per school year.
History. Vista High School Campus used to be an elementary school (Will Rogers Elementary now located in Duncan Ave.) and was site to Lynwood Adult School until 2000. The Tzu Chi Foundation awarded 15 Students two Scholarships to any school of their choices in 2008, making it the best nomination over the last five years.
The Vista Murrieta Golden Alliance is the high school's marching band and color guard. They won their first title at the 2016 Bands of America Long Beach Regionals in history. In addition, the band traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana in November 2016 to compete in Grand Nationals.
