Monte Vista Elementary School is a public elementary school in the Nob Hill neighborhood of Albuquerque, New Mexico, whose campus is listed in the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and the National Register of Historic Places.
Albuquerque High remained the only high school in the city until Highland High School opened in 1949. [ 7 ] In 1974, Albuquerque High School moved to a new location about one mile (1.6 km) to the north, leaving the old campus vacant.

[2] Hilltop offers the magnet program Foreign Language and Global Studies (FLAGS) as well as the Academies of Hospitality and Tourism (H&T), Information Technology (IT) programs, Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), Music Technology, Televideo, and Ballet Folklorico.
The school was built by the PWA at a cost of $125,000 and opened in 1937. [6] It was designed by Louis G. Hesselden, who was the architect for Albuquerque Public Schools at the time. [ 7 ] Coronado operated as an elementary school until 1975, when it was converted to administrative use.
Atrisco Vista (previously named Paseo del Volcan) runs north-south on the West Mesa, connecting I-40/US-66 to Double Eagle II Airport. There are numerous subdivisions with new homes being built on the lower portion of the West Mesa as the City of Albuquerque continues to expand further to the west.
Highland High School is a public high school located in southeast Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. It is part of the Albuquerque Public Schools District. The school's mascot is Herbie the Hornet, named after a naval ship, the aircraft carrier USS Hornet. This led to the school colors of navy blue and gold.
