A graph or chart or diagram is a diagrammatical illustration of a set of data. If the graph is uploaded as an image file, it can be placed within articles just like any other image . Graphs must be accurate and convey information efficiently. They should be viewable at different computer screen resolutions.

Use the SVG format whenever possible. If you can't, use any software to create the plot in a bitmap format but make it very large, for instance 6000×4500 pixel size with Postscript Times or Symbol font size 48 and a line thickness of 17 pixels. Then use software like Photoshop or GIMP to Gaussian blur it at 2 pixels.

The following code generates the pie chart shown at right. Note that the default chart size and colors are used, and the value of "1" for the "other" parameter is only used for its "truth value" as a visible string—i.e., to say, yes, we want an "Other" entry in the legend (the same chart would result if "0" were used).
