To send and receive AOL email via a 3rd party email client, you'll need to manually configure the servers and port numbers with supported AOL Mail info. If you access AOL Mail through mail.aol.com or the AOL app you don't need to make any changes to your settings.
Be aware some sections will link to the client's help page, and they can't answer questions about AOL Mail settings, or your Verizon.net username or password. No matter what application or software you use, the POP sever and port settings will be the same. Just make sure SSL is enabled and you use your full email address, including @verizon.net.
If you previously entered an email address when signing up for the account or in your Preferences, and you still have access to that email account, and you did not tick the preference checkbox "Send password reset emails only when both email address and username are provided", then you can go to the login screen and click 'Reset your password'.
