Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) [1] is a privately owned non-secretarial higher educational institution in General Santos City, Philippines. It was founded and established in 1957 by the late Attorney Eugenio Millado and his wife Mrs. Aurora Garcia-Millado as Mindanao Vocational School and became Magsaysay Memorial Colleges in 1961.
The next year, in 1988, the High School Department opened enrolling 196 students for the pioneer batch, thus allowing Holy Trinity School to offer the complete Basic Education program. SY 1989-1990, the school acquired legal personality as Holy Trinity College of General Santos City Inc. when it was registered with the SEC on May 21, 1990.
Mindanao State University (MSU) was established on September 1, 1961, through RA 1387, as amended. It was the brainchild of the late Senator Domocao Alonto, as one of the government's responses to the so-called "Mindanao Problem". The original mission of the university was anchored on instruction, research, and extension.
