Blackboard LLC. was founded on January 21, 1997 by Michael Chasen and Matthew Pittinsky and began as a consulting firm contracting to the non-profit IMS Global Learning Consortium to develop a prototype for online learning and thinking through online learning standardization. [14]
The college began holding classes on August 26, 1974. It had 684 students enrolled for its initial semester. In 2005, the school opened an extension center in Wynne, Arkansas. In 2017, the Arkansas General Assembly passed Act 636, which laid out the process for merging EACC and the nearby Crowley's Ridge Technical Institute (CRTI).
Norwalk Community College has over 40 active clubs. The major ones are Student Government, Alpha Iota Nu (a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, an academic honor society for two-year colleges), [2] a student newspaper, The Voice, a Service Learning Club, and a United Nations Club.
Labette Community College renovated a 14,000 square foot, ten acre, space on the corner of highways 400 and 69, near Pittsburg to better serve the students of southeast Kansas. Seven classrooms, a student commons area with computers, and office space for faculty.

City College Norwich has over 11,000 students on a wide range of full and part-time courses for young people and adults. These include around 1,000 students on higher education courses and 1,500 learners on Apprenticeships. The College can trace its origins back to 1891 when the first Technical School in Norwich was opened. [5]

ANGEL ePortfolio is used by students to create an electronic portfolio of their digital work. Schools use ANGEL ePortfolio to collect and report on data for accreditation purposes . The latest version, 2.1, was released in June 2008.
