The Missionary Church is a Trinitarian body which believes the Bible is the inspired Word of God and authoritative in all matters of faith; that "salvation is the result of genuine repentance of sin and faith in the atoning work of Christ"; and that the "church is composed of all believers in the Lord Jesus who have been vitally united by faith to Christ".
The church was founded in 1939 in Scottdale as Travelers Rest Baptist Church. [1] In 1983, it moved to Decatur and adopted its current name. Eddie Long took over as pastor in 1987. At the time, the church had only 300 members. In 1994, New Birth became a member of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. [2]

Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, originally named the Third Church of Christ, Scientist, is a landmark church located on West Washington Boulevard in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The church was designed by architect Hugh M.G. Garden and was built in 1901. The church was sold to its current owners in 1947.

History. St. Louis Street Missionary Baptist Church began as a part of Mobile's African Baptist Church, located near the intersection of Springhill Avenue and Ann Street. The congregation was active by 1836, constructed its own building by 1839, and eventually became known as the Stone Street Baptist Church.
September 29, 1983. The First Missionary Baptist Church is a Gothic Revival style church located at 701 South Gaines Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was built in 1882, and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is home to one of the oldest African-American congregations in the state, first organized in 1845.
