St. Paul High School is a private, Catholic, co-educational high school serving the Gateway Cities of Los Angeles County owned and operated by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, and was founded in 1956. The campus is located in Santa Fe Springs approximately 14 miles (23 km) east of downtown Los Angeles.
In 1870, two students by the names of Fannie Hayes and A. P. Warren became the first two students to graduate from Saint Paul High School. St Paul's Campus is located in Bald Hills, approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) north of the Brisbane central business district. [6] The school is situated on the bank of the South Pine River, on the border between the Brisbane City Council and Moreton Bay City Council. The area surrounding the school is a mix of residential and rural properties.
The original school colors were brown and gold until the 1999–2000 school year. The school moved away from brown in favor of black, which was considered more stylish by the student body. After the canonization of Pope Paul VI in October 2018, the school was renamed St. Paul VI Catholic High School to further honor its patron and namesake.
The school is located in North St. Paul, just on the other side of Minnesota State Highway 36 outside downtown North St. Paul. The school has a second campus due to the set back in construction of the new building that is located inside of the School District 622 Education Building which is located at the east end of the school's parking lot.
Johnson is the second oldest high school in the Saint Paul Public Schools district and is only surpassed in age by Central High School. The school has operated in three different buildings since 1897, all located on the East Side of Saint Paul. Johnson is the third largest high school in the district, and enrolls 1647 students.

As a result, the competition to name the school was fierce. The name Arlington High School was eventually chosen from a list of 85 suggestions.
