In AOL Mail, click Compose.; Click the Attach icon. - Your computer's file manager will open. Find and select the file or image you'd like to attach. Click Open.; The file or image will be attached below the body of the email.

Email attachment. An email attachment is a computer file sent along with an email message. One or more files can be attached to any email message, and be sent along with it to the recipient. This is typically used as a simple method to share documents and images.

Ask the sender to resend the picture using JPG or GIF file format. Check the attachments. The image sent may have been sent as an attachment rather than an embedded image. If the image is sent as an attachment, you'll need to download it before you can view the image. Reset your web settings
