Tarleton State University is a public research university with its main campus in Stephenville, Texas. It is a founding member of the Texas A&M University System [3] and enrolled over 15,000 students in the fall of 2022. Tarleton was also a founding member of the Texas Intercollegiate Athletic Association (TIAA) in the 1976–77 school year and remained in that league until the 1990–91 school year.
