She is the Nancy Schlegel Meinig Professor of Maternal and Child Nutrition in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University. Biography. Rasmussen was born at Ærøskøbing in Ærø, Denmark. He was the son of Johan Aranth Rasmussen and Caroline Sophie Kaasden.
