The national flag of Kazakhstan, also called the Kazakh flag (Kazakh: Қазақстан туы, Qazaqstan tuy, [qʰɑzɑqsˈtʰɑn to̙wɯ]; Russian: Флаг Казахстана, romanized: Flag Kazakhstana), was adopted on 4 June 1992, replacing the flag of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic.
