All medical colleges until 1986 were established by the government. Currently, there are 37 public medical colleges, these provide 5380 seats every year for students undertaking MBBS. Mugda Medical College (MuMC) Mugda Medical College & Hospital is a public medical college and a 500-bed healthcare facility in Dhaka. It is the 4th government medical college in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
