History. Fraser Health was created in December 2001 as part of a province-wide restructuring of health authorities by the then-new BC Liberal government of Premier Gordon Campbell. Fraser is a city in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. A northern suburb of Detroit , Fraser is located roughly 15 miles (24.1 km) northeast of downtown Detroit . As of the 2020 census , the city had a population of 14,726.
