The nearest grocery store is at Port Perry or Oshawa.
FC Durham Academy is a youth soccer academy located in Oshawa, Ontario. It was founded in 2013. [5] After FC Oshawa folded, they continued to their own team in the League1 Ontario Reserve division, under the FC Durham name.

The Durham District School Board (DDSB), known as English/French language Public District School Board No. 13 prior to 1999, [6] is an English-language public-secular school board in the province of Ontario. The Board serves most of Durham Region, except for Clarington, which is a part of the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board.
In 1920, the school was incorporated, leading to another name change, this time to Oshawa Missionary College. During the Depression years, enrollment decreased and some programs were discontinued, following which an improvement program was implemented in 1933.
