The school was founded in 1946 as Montgomery Junior College. Four years later, it absorbed the 57-year-old Bliss Electrical School, which became the junior college's electrical program.
Founding. On January 24, 1826, the college received its first charter, signed by Mississippi Governor David Holmes. In 1827, the name was changed from Hampstead Academy to Mississippi Academy at the request of the board of trustees. [ 9 ] On December 18, 1830, having become a college, the name was changed to Mississippi College.
Jacques "Chin" Alcantara founded the band in 1996 as an amateur rock band. [2]The band transitioned to pop music when they had a female vocalist, Nina in late 1997 . When she left for a solo career a year later, Juris from Davao took her place.
