After migrating your Verizon.net email to AOL Mail, follow the steps below to update your settings based on your email client. Be aware some sections will link to the client's help page, and they can't answer questions about AOL Mail settings, or your Verizon.net username or password.

If you aren't already on your Subscriptions page, click My Services | My Subscriptions. Click Manage next to the plan you'd like to cancel. If prompted, verify your account. Click Cancel. At the bottom of the page, click Cancel My Billing. Select a reason for canceling from the drop-down menu. Click Cancel My Billing.

Deleting email from the Trash removes it from your account. Apps that use POP. Desktop apps, like Outlook, Thunderbird, and Mac Mail, can access AOL Mail using POP.
