The Pima Medical Institute (PMI) is a private for-profit medical career college that trains students for careers as allied health care professionals with campuses throughout the western United States. Pima Community College (PCC) is a public community college in Pima County, Arizona. It serves the Tucson metropolitan area with a community college district consisting of five campuses, four education centers, and several adult education learning centers.
TOCC began accepting students two years later, with classes accredited through an intergovernmental agreement with Pima County Community College District in Tucson, AZ. TOCC was fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools in February 2003. [1]
The district was established as "Pima County School District No. 1" in 1867, centered approximately at the latitude 32°13'15.57"N and the longitude 110°58'23.70"W (a monument now known as La Placita), [3] and assumed its current name in 1977.
Ownership was transferred to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1920, and the name was changed to East Stroudsburg State Normal School. In 1927, the right to confer the degrees of Bachelor of Science in education and Bachelor of Science in health education was granted, and the school's name then became the East Stroudsburg State Teachers College .
The Pima Unified School District is located in Pima, Arizona serving the communities of Pima, Bryce, and Eden in southeastern Arizona. It operates an elementary school, junior high school, and Pima High School, as well as the small Gila Valley Learning Center.
