History. Warren County Public Schools was established in 1908 by the Warren County Board of Education in conjunction with the Trustees of the Bowling Green Schools. [1] In 2021, the district was considering changing some elementary school attendance boundaries even though some parents opposed this. [2]
The consolidated school was located at the site of Warren County High School. With the school's population rising to over 2,000 students by 1990, a new high school, Greenwood High School, was created in the district to alleviate the strain. In 1995, a nickel tax was passed that raised funds for renovations for the school.
South Warren High School, located in Bowling Green, in the U.S. state of Kentucky, is one of four high schools in the Warren County School System. [2] The school opened on August 3, 2010. It is co-located in the same building complex as South Warren Middle School. Together they comprise the largest school facility in Kentucky.
