Select and enable a New Mail notification in AOL Mail. AOL Mail lets you customize the notification sound you'll get when you receive a new email message. Choose to have a generic sound notification or play the iconic "You've Got Mail" alert with the original voice or your favorite celebrity's voice.

Message-ID. Message-ID is a unique identifier for a digital message, most commonly a globally unique identifier used in email and Usenet newsgroups. [1] Message-IDs are required to have a specific format which is a subset of an email address [2] and be globally unique. No two different messages must ever have the same Message-ID.
If your Mail settings don't have Rich Text or HTML enabled, you could have problems with viewing images in forwarded emails. These settings can be enabled from the Mail Settings page. Check your settings to view or change where they're going. • If you've set up filters, the settings may be routing some emails to the trash. You can review your filter settings in New AOL Mail and edit or delete any incorrect filters.
Use the sorting feature regardless of the folder you are in to rearrange the emails and find the ones important, click on Sort on top right of your emails list and choose the option that best suits your need. • Date - Newest on top. • Date - Oldest on top. • Unread - Lists your unread emails on top. • Read - Lists your read emails on top.
Filters - Review your settings to see if filters are sending emails to another folder. If you find any unexpected filters, check to see if your account may have been compromised. Search for them - Locate misplaced emails using our basic or advanced search options. Spam and Trash - These folders don't show in search results. Check them manually.
