Vista Unified School District is a public school district headquartered in Vista, California, United States.It serves sections of northern San Diego County.. The Vista Unified School District is the 4th largest school district in San Diego County and includes 32 schools with diverse educational programs for kindergarten through adult education students.
In total, there are 11 elementary schools, 3 intermediate schools, and 3 high schools located on the peninsula. In the Eastview neighborhood of Rancho Palos Verdes, however, residents have the option to choose either PV schools or the surrounding LAUSD schools (i.e. Dodson Middle School, Dana Middle School, San Pedro High School, etc.).
A new building B was dedicated on October 3, 2007. Beverly Vista's B building includes a bell tower, an auditorium with a balcony, and classrooms for the band, choir, kindergarten, and preschool. The principal is Dr. Kelly Skon. Beverly Vista Middle School was awarded the California Distinguished School Award in 1989, 1993, 1997, and 2004.
