History. Charles Page High School was built in 1959, constructed to replace Sand Springs High School, which is now the former Central Ninth Grade Center/Virtual Center. North Springs was a Georgia School of Excellence, a Grammy Signature School (1997), and a U.S. News & World Report Outstanding High School (2000). It was also one of Newsweek magazine's Top 300 High Schools (2000). It gained charter status for the 2007–2008 school year. [citation needed] The school has had many individual athletic achievements.

A rivalry exists between the athletic teams of Page and Grimsley Senior High School. The girls' tennis team won 4 state championships in a row from 2004–2007 and held an undefeated streak of over 80 matches. Page is now 4-AA with 1822 students. The 2009 Page High School Varsity Men's Soccer Team won the 4A State Championship.
