The University of Wisconsin–Madison Mead Witter School of Music is a collegiate music school. [1] It was known as the University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Music until 2016, when the Mead Witter Foundation contributed a $25 million gift to the University, which is being used to fund a planned new performance building. The school was founded in 1880 as the Ann Arbor School of Music. It was originally independent from the university until 1929. [3] The School is located on the University of Michigan's North Campus, which is also home to the College of Engineering, the Stamps School of Art and Design, and the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. Louisiana State University School of Music (LSU, commonly referred to as LSU School of Music) is a music school located on the northwestern side of the campus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States. The school is part of LSU's College of Music & Dramatic Arts, which also includes the LSU School of Theater.
In 2003 the field was named in honor of JMU benefactor Zane Showker (whose name is also on the building for JMU's School of Business). In 2004, the university added a new scoreboard with video replay features, which was dismantled after the 2010 season as part of a significant renovation of the entire facility.
Phillip George Vassar Jr. (born May 28, 1962) is an American country music artist. Vassar made his debut on the country music scene in the late 1990s, co-writing singles for several country artists, including Tim McGraw ("For a Little While", "My Next Thirty Years"), Jo Dee Messina ("Bye, Bye", "I'm Alright"), Collin Raye ("Little Red Rodeo"), and Alan Jackson ("Right on the Money").
