The NMCI contract took over the Navy's legacy computers and charges the Navy for the use of the legacy computers and the NMCI computers that can't be used for most developing. WAM!NET's commercial business and the rights to the name WAM!NET were sold in July 2003 to SAVVIS, and the part that handled government contracts, specifically the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet contract , was renamed as Netco. NMCI continues to be its main source of revenue.
