Welcome to English 101: Composition I - Writing Wikipedia. This course takes an innovative approach for learning writing, rhetoric, and research in that the large majority of the work you do will revolve around reading, evaluating, and editing Wikipedia.
From course syllabus: English 101 at the University of Idaho is an introductory composition course that focuses on strategies for critical reading, generating ideas for writing, planning and organizing material, and for revising and editing. The course prepares students for the demands of college reading and writing.
It will assist students in discovering something meaningful to say and to use writing as a way to actively participate in discussions about certain subjects; it will also enable students to approach a topic in a creative manner, gather and evaluate information, organize ideas, write coherent sentences, and learn to revise and edit drafts.
