Hastings High School (HHS) is a public secondary school located in Hastings, Nebraska, United States. It is part of the Hastings Public Schools school district. Other area high schools are St. Cecilia High School and Adams Central Junior-Senior High School .
The school, previously known as Larchmont School and at one time having middle school grades, [6] began in October 1913. Originally a part of the Tanner’s Creek School Board, it became a part of the Norfolk school district after Norfolk annexed the area on January 1, 1923. [ 7 ]
Steele School, closed in August 2010 due to low enrollment and a district-wide budget shortfall [3]; Hamilton School, closed in the 2011–2012 school year due to low student enrollment coupled with significant budget constraints for the district.
Basha High School was named after Eddie Basha Jr., who donated millions of dollars to the Chandler Unified School District (CUSD) and lived in the community until his death in 2013.
