East Central Community College (ECCC) is a public community college in Decatur, Mississippi. ECCC serves a five-county district: Leake , Neshoba , Newton , Scott and Winston counties. It opened in September 1928.

HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, became the first community college in Pennsylvania on Feb. 14, 1964. HACC is the largest community college in Pennsylvania and serves students at its Gettysburg, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon and York campuses. The HACC faculty voted to form a union in April of 2022. As with many of the early community colleges, NCTC began as an extension of the local school district.In NCTC's case, a branch of the Gainesville Independent School District known as Gainesville Junior College was proposed by Superintendent Randolph Lee Clark, who previously started a junior college that later became Midwestern State University.
The college opened on July 1, 1965 at the site of where its Main Campus stands. TVI was accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools in 1978 and given degree-granting power by the State Legislature in 1986, at which point TVI became a community college. In 2006, TVI changed its name to Central New Mexico Community College.
