As of 21 May 2024, it has 206,120 articles, 179,704 registered users and 14,301 files, and it is the 54th largest edition of Wikipedia by article count, and ranks 20th in terms of depth among Wikipedias with over 150,000 articles.
The name Nastaliq "is a contraction of the Persian naskh-i ta'liq ( Persian: نَسْخِ تَعلیق ), meaning a hanging or suspended naskh.
