Kuvempu University NSS section is a part of the Karnataka State. [11] There is a programme coordinator whose office is presently housed in front of the Sahyadri College, Shivamogga. The NSS wing provides training to undergraduate students by organising annual camps, national camps, and socially useful programmes.

K. Chidananda Gowda is an Indian academic who served as the Vice-Chancellor of the Kuvempu University, which is located in the state of Karnataka, India.
