The students of the school has have also been acknowledged as active participants of the 2024 Bangladesh Quota reform movement. While, the school section was not able to participate physically for the most part. The students have played a significant role in banter towards it and spreading information regarding the movement.
The school section gives the opportunity of studying from class 1 to 10. Students of class 9 & 10 can study science, business studies and arts programmes. History. Dhaka Residential Model College was established by the then President of Pakistan Field Marshal Muhammad Ayub Khan [citation needed] in 1960 on an area of about 52 acres beside Mirpur Road near Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in Dhaka. In 1962, the administration of DRMC was assumed by the provincial government of then East Pakistan.
