University of Phoenix. University of Phoenix [3] ( UoPX) is a private for-profit university headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. [a] Founded in 1976, the university confers certificates and degrees at the certificate, associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree levels.
The University of Michigan was established on August 26, 1817, as Catholepistemiad, or University of Michigania, under an act of the Michigan Territory. In September 1947, the School of Pharmacy opened as part of the University of Arizona Liberal Arts College. Eighty-three students were enrolled. It became a full-fledged college in 1949, with 206 students and seven faculty members. Faculty and staff moved into new pharmacy building on the Arizona Health Sciences Center part of the campus in 1982.
