On the NBC television series The West Wing, Democratic presidential nominee Matt Santos (Jimmy Smits) reported for Marine Corps Reserve duty at Fort Worth for F/A-18 Hornet flight operations. The show incorrectly referred to the base as "National Guard Training Center Fort Worth" and the squadron shown was VMFA-134 , the "Smokes".
