The Institute of Brunei Technical Education ( Malay: Institut Pendidikan Teknikal Brunei; abbreviation: IBTE) is a post-secondary institution providing technical and vocational education in Brunei. IBTE was created on May 27, 2014 [3] from the merger of the Department of Technical Education and seven technical and vocational schools nationwide.

The National Service Programme, ( Malay: Program Khidmat Bakti Negara - PKBN ), [1] is the voluntary national service programme in Brunei Darussalam for youth citizens aged 16 to 21. The programme lasts three months, and engagement is voluntary. The programme started in December 2011; 12 years ago, as a pilot study, and was made permanent in 2014.
