The Navy/Marine Corps Intranet ( NMCI) is a United States Department of the Navy program which was designed to provide the vast majority of information technology services for the entire Department, including the United States Navy and Marine Corps .
The Marine Corps Institute, commonly referred to as MCI, developed and maintained a curriculum of Marine Corps education. Subjects included infantry strategy/tactics, leadership skills, MOS qualifications, personal finance, and mathematics. Completion of MCI courses was generally required for promotion to the next Marine enlisted rank.

WAM!NET's commercial business and the rights to the name WAM!NET were sold in July 2003 to SAVVIS, and the part that handled government contracts, specifically the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet contract , was renamed as Netco. NMCI continues to be its main source of revenue.
