Antelope Gymnasium, which used to house GCU's indoor sports, has served as a secondary indoor facility since 2011 after the opening of GCU Arena. GCU Golf Course is located nearby and was renovated by the university in an operation agreement with the City of Phoenix.
The Grand Canyon Antelopes men's basketball team represents Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. They are a member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). They are led by head coach Bryce Drew and play their home games at Global Credit Union Arena. They made the jump to NCAA Division I and joined the WAC on July 1, 2013. [2] [3]
The 2020–21 Antelopes won the WAC regular-season championship and the 2021 WAC men's basketball tournament. The 2020–21 team is the first-ever Grand Canyon team to be selected for March Madness, being selected as a 15-seed in the West region for the 2021 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, where they lost to Iowa in the first round.
