After migrating your Verizon.net email to AOL Mail, follow the steps below to update your settings based on your email client. Be aware some sections will link to the client's help page, and they can't answer questions about AOL Mail settings, or your Verizon.net username or password.

If possible, use the AOL app or mail.aol.com. Since AOL owns these services, we can ensure you're always using the most secure sign-in technology when accessing your email. If you'd prefer to continue using your non-AOL email application, try removing and re-adding your account.
To manage and recover your account if you forget your password or username, make sure you have access to the recovery phone number or alternate email address you've added to your AOL account. Use the sorting feature regardless of the folder you are in to rearrange the emails and find the ones important, click on Sort on top right of your emails list and choose the option that best suits your need. • Date - Newest on top. • Date - Oldest on top. • Unread - Lists your unread emails on top. • Read - Lists your read emails on top.
Check your display name: If you have any combination of "AOL" in your display name, the message won't go through. It is especially important to check your Mail settings for this if your account has been recently compromised, as hackers will often change your name to make it harder for you to use your account normally even after it's secured.
Never worry about getting overwhelmed with old or unwanted emails. AOL Mail lets you easily delete unwanted messages.
